S.C. Mayor BANS Police Foot Pursuits!

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The mayor of a small South Carolina town says she banned her police officers from chasing suspects on foot after an officer was hurt running after a man.

Wellford Mayor Sallie Peake said Monday she issued the order in August after the city had to pay for an officer who missed work after chasing a “guy who had a piece of crack on him.” She said a drug possession charge was not worth the cost to taxpayers. But her written order said she did “not want anyone chasing any suspects whatsoever.”

he decision came after two town-issued cars were totaled within a month, although her order applies only to foot chases.

When a local TV reporter asked about the policy, Peake would not answer and clapped her hands in mock praise that the reporter had found a story.

WTF!!! CBS??? The UNIT Cancelled?

Ok, WHAT THE HELL is wrong with people? Everyone has an excuse! This show was amazing, did 4 seasons and left me high and dry wanting more. Just as the show Shark was canceled... Or Third Watch or 10-8 or any number of shows that had a great run. One way or another, every good show get's the AXE and crap shows like Gary Unmarried or The New Adventures of Old Christine get's to stay on the air? WHAT THE HELL PEOPLE!!!!???!?!?!?!?! SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. WHO the hell are the people that get the survey's in that say what is good or bad or watched or not?



Earlier this week, I told you about the real reason Without A Trace was cancelled. Now, executive producer Shawn Ryan reveals the real reason The Unit was cancelled. "Listen, if the show had been owned by Paramount and Medium had been owned by 20th Century Fox, we'd be making the fifth season of The Unit now." You see, TV fans, it's comes down to money. CBS owns Paramount so it would earn more in the long run if The Unit made more episodes, went into syndication and reaped revenues for years to come. However, Fox owns The Unit. Get it?

It's too bad, really, because like Without A Trace, The Unit had a good 2007-08 season. The Unit's Nielsens were better than the previous year, and very competitive with Brothers & Sisters (although they reached different demographics). The Unit could have been picked up for a fifth season with some assurance that it would continue to be viable for CBS.

Ryan had a plan for Season 5, one we'll never get to see, but here's what he had in mind: "Bob was going to be training some young people for a whole new organization. Jonas was finally going to be seeing his run end. The final season -- and I figured if we got a fifth season that would be the final season -- it was going to be a long final mission for Jonas. He's not medically cleared. Mac has to go in and change the medical records so Jonas can keep up. We had a whole thing planned. It was gonna be good." Oh well ...

New Tv Show, NCIS, Los Angeles

Ok, so I just watched the show NCIS Los Angeles... Let me start with wow. The actor's in the show are great, but as with all knock off's, I did not like the first episode. The series NCIS is amazing and just because Ice T can make it big on Law and Order SVU does not mean LL Cool J need's to take on a cop role for TV. Chris O'Donnell played a great role for movies, but the whole cast of NCIS L.A. needs to not try and be NCIS. As with CSI Miami and NY... or the IDOL knock off's... people do not like to see change or something. All these tv shows, dancing with the stars etc, act like they have to live upto the original of a type show.

I will have to grow with the show and see if I change my mind or not. Don't get me wrong, the show was not too bad. Eric is no McGee. They don't have a duckey, but this show link's to NCIS as being at the Head Quarters and they are a field office. Director Vance was on the inter-op TV giving the case to them. They do have a mentalist DR type however.

I will talk more about the show sometime soon.

Fire at the Garden Restaurant in Port Clinton

Was in Port Clinton on Tuesday evening and saw a fire truck running to the Garden Restaurant on Perry Street at Adams St. I went over with camera in hand, to take some pictures of the events. I was a firefighter/EMT for the city of Port Clinton for 3 years, I really miss it!

Great job Boys & Girls! PCFD was assisted by Bay Twp, Catawba, Marblehead, Possibly Lakeside and Erie Twp to. I did not want to get too far into the scene, so I stayed on the sidewalk, but this was a bad fire. It sounds as if it made its way through the rough as I saw some amber's and fire out of it.

Puppy Log Day 3

Today, I gave puppy a bath! Well, she liked water up till she was sitting in the tub. She wanted to get out, thankfully I have the sliding door type tub, not the shower curtain. Daddy (Chief, that'd be me), had to get INTO the tub with puppy to calm her down. She was not about the shower process! lol. Anyhow, after she got out, she would have NO part of a hair dryer (even on the low setting). So, it was towel's! Now, she is sleeping in the kitchen where I blocked her off into the tile floor. I am getting her a cage for when I am gone and at night. Picked up a pet bed for her that will go into the cage, so she can get adjusted to sleeping on it. Then, I will be able to leave the pet bed out for puppy. This is all new to her. My grandparent's (mom's parents) stopped by to visit today for a little while, I love her home made veggie soup!

Puppy is napping, daddy needs one too. More to come later.

Puppy Log day 2

Today puppy started on a leash and was very scared at first. She learned the command of Sit and Come. I raise my voice and puppy listens when I tell her to come. I have used treat's to get her to learn to go outside for pottie and when to come, sit etc. Puppy got to meet my dad, my mother, my sister, my grandparent's (who are going to visit my new house tomorrow) and alot of other people.

I also took her to the Pet Smart in Sandusky, where she was adored by everyone in the store. For fun, we bought a pack of cat nip for Little Bit, Grandpa's cat (He passed away in May). This should aid in helping the cat get accustomed to the new addition! And with the laser pointer I have, I think I can really trip her out lol.

Alright, well I just started this Blog this morning as my ass is wet from spilled pop and my new puppy lay's sleeping and kicking at me on the bed. Well, this is the OFFICIAL BLOG for my new Radio Show that premier's Friday October 2nd from 6-10pm. My show is called Chief's Tangent, hosted by me, Chief Tantrum! Now, let me start with a brief intro about myself. I am a STOUT Republican, cannot stand the left. I'm a gun owner and NRA Lifetime member. Guns don't kill people, liberal idiot's that think that deserve TO be shot. This is NOT a "Free Country" it is a democracy and that means the majority rules. Well my friends, the majority of us don't like what the liberal idiot's are doing.

My First Video for your viewing pleasure, is WE the People Stimulus! WHAT kind of IDIOT government do we have? This will show you what kind of show I will have for you! Pardon me, let me step off the soap box so you can hear me in the mic!

I served in the US AIR FORCE and was a SP/SF (Security Police / Security Forces) SRT Team Leader (Special Response Team) aka SWAT. I served in the missile field's of Minot North Dakota, where it snow's 9 month's out of the year and the other 3 are May still snow (June) No Snow (July) and ss soon as it's over, it will snow again (August).

I'm currently a certified Firefighter/EMT/HazMat Technician. I have a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and minored in Behavioral Psychology (Which I am studying now). I have learned from Dr. Paul Ekman, how to read people by their faces and the 7 facial expressions. It is interesting because now that I know what the facial expressions are, it is something that I can't turn off. I enjoy it however.

I have a Law Enforcement background, but I don't really want to get into that with the theory of my radio show and keeping work and politics separate.

I do want you to know that I do not get offended by anything a person says. I have hard core Right Side belief's and do not give a damn what the liberal idiots seem to rant and rave about.

I am a happy home owner in Oak Harbor, Ohio. The house I have was my dad's parent's house. Grandpa passed away May 15th 2009 and Grandma passed away Sept 11, 2004.

I LOVE the Ohio State Buckeyes Football (NCAA) Team. I am a hardcore Dallas Cowboys Fan, like my Cleveland Indian's MLB and follow Ryan Newman for Nascar.

My show is going to be about me, life, America, Politics, the news, the idiot's that piss everyone off, having fun, news and what ever else I care to go on about. Tangent by defination means alot... As an adjective, it means "In immediate physical contact, touching". It also means Idiom

off on or at a tangent, digressing suddenly from one course of action or thought and turning to another: The speaker flew off on a tangent.

So, what does the first meaning mean? That at ANY given moment in time, I can have my foot placed RIGHT up your ass and if your a liberal it will be there more than once. (Provided that I don't get caught up on that stick crammed up there!)
